Our Sunday Morning Worship Includes:

8:00 to 9:10 AM - Early Worship -  This liturgical service includes uplifting hymns of the Christian faith, accompanied by organ and piano music. Those from a sacramental background will especially feel right at home during this service.

9:35 to 10:25 AM - "Life Application" Bible Study- Join us in the church sanctuary for a time of heartfelt prayer, worship and study of God's Word led by Pastor Jess. On the second and fourth Sunday of the month, we gather around the Altar for Holy Communion - followed by a prayer ministry time for the healing of human hurts.

11:00 AM - Late Service Worship - This is a blend of styles that combine aspects of the historic Christian liturgy and contemporary worship music.  As with the 8 AM Service, Holy Communion with individual cups is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month. Come and experience the cleansing and uplifting grace of God through Word and Sacrament!

Sunday School

9:30AM - Pre-K thru High School/ Kids learn that they are God's special and most loved creation and that He has a great plan for their lives. Through active participation and crafts, God's truth comes alive.

9:30AM Adults - Select from several classes including study of specific Books of the Bible and Christian parenting.

BLOOD DRIVE!

Immanuel will be hosting a Blood Drive on October 3rd at 9am, please contact Bill & Sonya Abbott at 310/344-3439.

Small Group Bible Studies

Connect with other believers, in a warm fellowship, by joining one of several small group Bible Studies sponsored by our church.  We have active day and evening groups meeting at both our local campus and at area homes. Our Wednesday morning is a study of Psalms and meets at 10 AM  in the Fellowship Hall with Pastor Jess. Our Thursday evening is a devotional study over dinner at an area home with young singles and married couples. Currently, we also have home Bible studies on Monday nights and Wednesday evenings. Go deeper into God's Word and to develop lasting Christian friendships in the process. Call the Church office to locate the group that's right for you!

Youth Activities

Friday Faith and Fun (October thru May) - Every Friday afternoon from 4pm to 6pm kids K through 8th grade come together for music, crafts, fun activities and God's word.

Confirmation - Christianity 101 - "What Does this Mean?" - Friday afternoons, during part of the "Friday, Faith & Fun" gathering, Pastor Knauft offers a course on the basics of the Christian faith for 7th and 8th graders.  Call the church office for details and for enrollment information (310-540-4435).

Youth Groups - Our Youth Groups for 4th through 6th Graders, Junior High, and High School offer supervised outings and trips, as well as Christian Bible study. Call the church office for details.

High School Fellowship - We meet every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 5:00-6:30 PM at the Youth Room on the church campus. Develop Christian friendships and a relationship with Jesus that will last for all eternity. Call the church office for details.

Weddings at Immanuel

We have a beautiful sanctuary for weddings and marriage renewals to take place. We want to make it available for those who desire God's blessings in their marriages. Please call the church office (310-540-4435) and speak with Pastor Jess to set up a time for your committal ceremony to take place. Pastor Jess is also available to do outside weddings and, down through the years, has done so at (out of the way) locations such as private resorts, vineyards, beaches, etc.
